HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team wraps up the 2021 regular season at home this weekend as the Chargers welcome Mississippi College on Friday at 6 p.m. and West Alabama on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Admission for both games – and every regular season home game – is free courtesy of Alabama Credit Union. Face coverings are required at all times while inside Spragins Hall per University policy.

The UAH volleyball program will celebrate its 2021 Senior Class prior to Saturday's contest, which includes
Sabrina Duncan,
Hannah Lawless,
Kendall Scharbert and
Katie Sharp.

UAH has secured the second seed in the 2021 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championships as the squad has a 19-8 overall record and an 11-3 mark in conference matches in 2021.

After this weekend's matches, UAH looks ahead to the GSC tournament at host and No. 1 seed West Florida from Nov. 19-21. As the No. 2 seed, the Chargers receive a bye to the semifinals which begin on Nov. 20.

The Chargers are coming off a 3-0 win on Friday at Shorter prior to a 3-1 loss on Saturday at Montevallo to finalize the 2021 regular season road slate. Scharbert led the Chargers offense overall during last week's three-match slate with 45 kills and a .463 hitting percentage.

This season, head coach
Jon Moseley boasts five players with 100 kills or more and two players with 200-plus kills, led by
Molly Presnell with 238 kills and Scharbert with 205.

Defensively, the Blue & White are paced by freshman
Zharia Hubbard with 106 total blocks and
Shayla Libby with 363 digs. A total of four Chargers have 200 digs or more so far in 2021.

Mississippi College enters the weekend with an 8-13 overall record and a 6-7 mark in conference matches, following a 3-0 home loss on Friday to nationally-ranked West Florida. The Choctaws offense is led by Kendall Platt's 228 kills, while Missy Beber leads MC defensively with 270 digs.

West Alabama starts off the week's slate with a 1-21 overall record and a 1-12 record in GSC contests after a 3-0 loss to West Florida at home on Saturday. The Tigers offense is paced by Nathalia Medeiros with 193 kills, while MacKenzie Wells' 313 digs anchor the UWA defense.
