HUNTSVILLE | The Gulf South Conference announced its 2021 Women's Basketball yearly honors on Tuesday, and both
Holly Harris and
Alexis Woods have earned West Division All-GSC Second Team honors.

This is the first annual award for both players, and this marks just the seventh time in program history that UAH has placed two on the all-conference teams.

Harris is averaging 13.3 points per game which is 13th in the conference, and that scoring performance is thanks in part to her success from beyond the arc as she leads the GSC in 3-point field goal percentage is tied for second in 3-pointers per contest. The Franklin, Tennessee, native also owns 43 assists, and she is one of the nation's best and leads the GSC in steals with a total of 47 for 3.1 takeaways per contest.

Woods ranks eighth in the GSC in scoring with 15.9 points per contest, and she is averaging a double-double with 11.7 boards per contest which is the second-best rebounding mark in the league. In total on the year, the Athens, Alabama, native has posted 10 double-doubles with five games of at least 15 rebounds, and she is fourth in the conference with a field goal percentage of 48.9 percent.

The two all-conference selections and their teammates will be back in action on Tuesday night when the Chargers travel to Montevallo to open up play in the 2021 GSC Women's Basketball Championship. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.Â
