BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its 2022 volleyball season awards on Tuesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by
Paris Morris as a Second Team All-GSC honoree.

This is Morris' first career All-GSC honor, and her award extends the program's streak of having at least one all-conference player to five straight seasons.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Morris has been one of the Chargers overall leaders in the 2022 campaign with a team-best .279 hitting percentage on 174 kills. She is additionally second on the team with 59 total blocks.

She has also excelled against the Chargers top opponents, including Carson-Newman, Harding, Mississippi College, West Florida, Union, and Lynn who have a combined record of 143-30. Overall against those teams in 27 sets, Morris recorded 84 kills, 3.1 kills per set, a .350 hitting percentage and 21 blocks.

Morris and the rest of the Chargers look ahead to the quarterfinal round of the 2022 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championships against fourth-seeded Montevallo on Friday at 11 a.m. on the campus of top-seeded West Florida.
