Box Score HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team constructed an enthralling overtime win on Thursday night where a field goal from Holly Harris in the last second of overtime earned UAH a 74-73 victory. The Chargers improve to 7-16 (6-12 Gulf South Conference) while the Choctaws fall to 14-12 (9-10 GSC).

Alexis Woods recorded her seventh double-double of the season, leading all players in scoring on the night with 21 points and also set the pace on the glass with 18 rebounds.

Miajah Bullock put up 18 points in the contest to also be in double figures for the Chargers, including going a perfect 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. Bullock's performance is her 12th game on the year where she has scored in double digits.

Although Mississippi College would lead by as many as nine in the first quarter, UAH would outscore MC 16-10 in the second period to only trail by three going into the halftime break at 29-26. Testing the Chargers resiliency, the Choctaws would go up by 11 with nine minutes left to play in regulation. UAH would be equal to the task and pull within two with 18 seconds remaining before a bucket in the paint from Woods inside of the final six seconds knotted the game at 64 apiece.

Both sides would exchange blows in the overtime period, and a pair of Bullock free-throws would cut the MC advantage to one at 73-72. Sloan Mann would then force a MC turnover with 12 seconds left on the clock in the overtime period, sending the Chargers down to the offensive end of the court where Harris would sink a second-chance layup that put the Blue & White in front 74-73 with 0.4 seconds left on the clock. The Choctaws were not able to put up a final shot, allowing UAH to secure the victory.

For the contest, UAH hit 39.4 percent of its attempts from the floor while holding Mississippi College to a 34.9 percent shooting performance. The Chargers edged out the Choctaws on the glass, leading the rebounding category by a 45-42 margin.

Ally Alford led the way for the Choctaws with a 17-point performance after going 6-for-11 from the field.

UAH will now gear up for the regular season finale, taking on Delta State in a Saturday afternoon home contest at Spragins Hall.

Tip-off at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall is set for 2 p.m.
