HUNTSVILLE | The American Baseball Coaches Association unveiled its Rawlings all-region teams for the 2022 season on Wednesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Garrett Bodine as a First Team All-South Region honoree.
 
Bodine has now been named to the First Team All-South Region by the NCBWA, D2CCA and ABCA.
 
A native of Harvest, Alabama, Bodine also was a First Team All-GSC honoree in the 2022 campaign as he rates in the top 15 in the GSC in batting average (4th, .385), runs (1st, 58), hits (1st, 80), doubles (T8th, 13), home runs (T14th, 13), RBI (12th, 47), total bases (3rd, 122), and OBP (2nd, .480).
 
He finished the season on a 33-game hit streak, which is five games away from the program and GSC record of 38 games set by Vincent Kortbawi between the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
 
UAH finished the season with the program's 20th GSC tournament appearance, as the Chargers went 28-25 overall and 16-13 in league play.
