BIRMINGHAM | The Gulf South Conference announced its volleyball player of the week awards on Tuesday and UAH's Mary Grace Bundrant has been named the GSC Co-Freshman of the Week after her performances the past week. 

The freshman from Cookeville, Tennessee, produced 11 blocks in eight sets against Lee and Montevallo. Bundrant also compiled 14 kills in the two victories with a .367 attack percentage. 

The UAH middle blocker leads the GSC in blocks this season with 106 for a 1.2 blocks per set average. 

The award marks the second straight week that a Charger volleyball player has won a GSC weekly award as Autumn Mayes was named GSC Player of the Week last week.

Bundrant was joined as the GSC Freshman of the Week by Desha Van Veldhuizen of West Georgia.

UAH wraps up their regular season this weekend against Valdosta State and West Georgia.
