HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team wraps up the three-game homestand with a visit from West Georgia for a Gulf South Conference matchup on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

UAH will additionally be celebrating 4.0 Night at Spragins Hall during halftime of the men's game, as any UAH student-athlete who earned a 4.0 GPA over the past year will be honored.

The Chargers have been one of the hottest teams in the GSC over the past few weeks, as the squad picked up its fourth victory in the last five games with a 74-49 rout of Mississippi College on Saturday. UAH enters the week 7-16 overall and 7-12 in GSC games.

Alaina Taylor has led the UAH offense during this stretch, as she has average 16.6 points per game over the last five games. She's been torrid from beyond the arc with a 57.1 three-point percentage.

Andie Flatgard at 35.7 minutes per game and
Madie Krieger with 32.3 minutes per game. Flatgard additionally ranks second on the team with 8.4 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per contest.

UAH's hot streak has kept GSC postseason hopes alive for the young squad, as the Chargers are a game out of a tie for seventh in the conference with five games remaining in the regular season.

West Georgia enters the Wednesday matchup with a 9-13 overall record and an 8-11 mark in GSC play, following a 71-58 victory at Shorter on Saturday. The Wolves are led by Stephanie Torres' 10.9 points per game, as UWG averaged 57.9 points per game as a team.

The Chargers are 27-34 all-time against the Wolves in a series that dates back to 1986.
