HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team rose to No. 4 in the NFCA Division II Top 25 in this week's updated rankings.
 
Additionally, the NCAA announced its teams under consideration for its regional tournaments and UAH was amongst the 10 teams listed for the South Region.
 
The Chargers enter the week's slate as one of five regional teams in the NFCA National Rankings, as Tampa took over the No. 1 spot for the first time this season. The South Region also features Saint Leo (No. 11), Valdosta State (No. 13), Mississippi College (No. 18) and West Alabama (No. 22) in the Top 25.
 
UAH is currently atop the Gulf South Conference standings with a 21-2 conference record along with a 36-7 overall record, following a three-game sweep of VSU at Charger Park over the weekend.
 
The Blue & White wrap up their regular season road schedule with a three-game series at Union on Saturday and Sunday.
