HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer head coach James Ballamy announced the hiring of Sarah Ghaffoor as assistant coach.
 
Ghaffoor joins the UAH women's soccer program following five seasons as an assistant coach at Chowan, where she also played as a midfielder from 2016-17.
 
In her time with the Hawks, Ghaffoor helped mentor 13 all-Conference Carolinas honorees.
 
A native of Hamilton, New Jersey, Ghaffoor additionally was an event coordinator this past year at the Mercer County Park Commission assisting the Director of Recreation & Events.
 
Ghaffoor graduated from Chowan in 2017 with a degree in physical education that included a concentration in exercise science.
