Chargers Host Peach Belt Conference Foe Montevallo on Saturday

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team is set to host its first Peach Belt Conference home game of the 2023 season on Saturday afternoon as they welcome in Montevallo for a 1 p.m. match at Charger Park. The Chargers enter the contest with an 8-4 record (1-1 PBC), while the Falcons come in with a 7-6 record (0-2 PBC).

Admission for this week's games – and to all regular season events at Charger Park – is free again this season courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.

UAH returns to Huntsville after a 23-9 victory over Shorter last week in a road victory against the Hawks. Brody Phillips led the way for the Chargers in the win with nine points coming from five goals and four assists.

The Chargers come into Saturday's match with the second-fewest goals scored against and the second highest goal margin in the PBC. Max Keller has the second-best goals against average in the conference minding the net with a mark of 10.2, while UAH has posted a 6-2 record with Keller as the starter. 

Montevallo visits Huntsville after dropping a 14-9 home contest to Lander last week. The Falcons are led by Trevayne Hunter, the team's leading point-scorer with 45 on the year, a mark good for third in the PBC. Montevallo leads the conference in clears, with 279 for the season.

Following Saturday's match, the Chargers will travel to Young Harris in their penultimate game of the regular season on April 15.
