HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team has remained in the NCAA South Regional Rankings after the 2023 Gulf South Conference Baseball Championships as they rank seventh in the latest announcement. 

The Chargers fell from the fifth-ranked spot after going 0-2 in the GSC tournament, dropping games against Shorter and Montevallo.
 
Tampa and West Florida top the South Region rankings, while Rollins, Montevallo, Valdosta State, and Florida Southern make up the following four spots. 

On Sunday at 9 p.m., UAH will find out their fate for the 2023 NCAA Division II Championships. The 2023 selection show for the tournament will announce the entire field of 64 teams on NCAA.com.
 
The top two teams in the South Region will host a regional tournament, each featuring four teams from May 18-21, which will decide the two teams competing in the South Super Regional from May 26-27.

The UAH baseball team made its last appearance in the NCAA tournament in 2021, and have made the tournament seven times in school history.
