AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Peach Belt Conference has revealed the 2022-23 men's lacrosse Team of Academic Distinction, presented by Barnes & Noble College, and the University of Alabama in Huntsville is represented by sophomore long-stick midfielder
Alex Dorenkott and senior midfielder
Trevor Redmond.

To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee the program.

Dorenkott started all 17 games for the Chargers and rated third-best on the roster with 17 caused turnovers while also picking up 37 ground balls. The Lake Mary, Fla. native also added two goals on the season.

Redmond appeared in all 17 contests for UAH, causing seven turnovers and picking up 17 ground balls while also scoring one goal and adding two assists.Â
