HUNTSVILLE | The UAH softball team enters the 2024 campaign as the No. 12 team in the NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll as announced on Tuesday.
 
This is the sixth consecutive year the UAH softball program has been ranked in the NFCA Preseason Division II Top 25.
 
UAH is the highest ranked team from the Gulf South Conference and the third highest in the South Region behind No. 5 Nova Southeastern and No. 10 Tampa.
 
Mississippi College is the only other GSC program amongst the preseason national rankings at No. 24.
 
UAH is coming off its 20th consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament, after posting a 46-11 overall record that included a 25-4 GSC record. The Blue & White won both the GSC Regular Season Championship and GSC Tournament Championship as well in 2023.
 
The Chargers begin the 2024 campaign next weekend with a trip to the Sunshine State to take on Florida Southern, Tampa and Eckerd in consecutive days.
