LAKELAND, Fla. | The UAH women's basketball team officially tips off for the 2024-25 campaign in the Sunshine State with games against Florida Southern on Friday at 12 p.m. CT, followed by Rollins on Saturday at 9 a.m. CT as part of the South Region Crossover hosted by FSC.

The Chargers are under new leadership for the first time in 10 seasons as head coach 
Allen Sharpe enters his first season at the helm of UAH women's basketball. His career has spanned 22 years of coaching so far, as he owns a career record of 496-210 entering the 2024-25 campaign.
 
Sharpe returns six players from last season's roster, while a total of nine players are newcomers to the UAH roster in 2024-25.
 
UAH's leading offensive returners 
Jesse Jennings and 
Bellah Machen both posted over 10.0 points per game last season, while sophomore 
Bella White is back after notching a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game in 2023-24.
 
Coach Sharpe also looks to rely on highly-touted transfers 
Millie Brown (UNC Asheville) and 
Lili Wilken (Trevecca Nazarene) who were both named to the GSC Newcomer Watchlist ahead of the season.
 
Florida Southern comes off a 16-13 overall record last season that included an 8-12 mark in Sunshine State Conference play. The Moccasins averaged 62.5 points per game last season, with Sydney Gomes leading all FSC returners with 7.0 points per game.
 
Rollins enters the new campaign after going 13-14 a year ago and 10-10 within the SSC. The Tars posted 60.7 points per game last season, as Maddie Dillinger returns after leading RC with 10.7 points per contest.
 
After this weekend's opening games, UAH looks ahead to its home-opener at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall next Sunday at 4 p.m. against Tuskegee.
