BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's track & field award winners on Wednesday, and the UAH women's track & field team was represented by
Jadlyn Debardlabon as GSC Field Athlete of the Week and GSC Freshman of the Week.

These weekly awards from the GSC are the first in Debardlabon's career.

A native of Chelsea, Alabama, Debardlabon tied for the second-best long jump in the GSC this season with a third-place showing at the South Carolina Invitational at 5.76 meters.

She topped both the program record and the NCAA provisional mark, as she now ranks tied for 30th in Division II in the long jump. UAH's previous long jump record had stood since 2004.

Debardlabon and the rest of the Chargers look ahead to the final tune-up of the 2024 indoor regular season at the Samford Invitational ahead of the 2024 Gulf South Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 15-16 in Birmingham, Alabama.
