BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its women's lacrosse weekly awards, presented by Truist, and UAH was represented by
Ella Rutherford as GSC Freshman of the Week.

Rutherford becomes the second straight Charger to be named GSC Freshman of the Week, after
Amelia Weiss was tabbed the league's top weekly freshman last week.

The El Dorado Hills, California, native led UAH in games against Lincoln Memorial and Lynn this past week at Charger Park with a team-high eight goals, four assists, and nine draw controls. She also rated second on the roster with nine ground balls.

Rutherford's top performance was a seven-point game with five goals and two assists against No. 13 Lynn on Sunday, as she also registered six ground balls and seven draw controls in the matchup.

UAH hits the road for the first time in the 2025 campaign with a neutral-site, nonconference matchup against No. 16 Wingate on Saturday in Cleveland, Tennessee.
