JACKSON, Tenn. | UAH women's basketball junior Lili Wilken has been named the Division II Conference Commissioners Association South Region Player of the Year as announced on Thursday.
 
Wilken becomes the second South Region Player of the Year in UAH women's basketball history, and the first for the program since UAH Athletics Hall of Famer Kim Young earned the distinction in 2001-02. She is also the first Charger to earn First Team All-South Region since Jordan Smith and Jasmine Hammon both earned the honor in 2013-14.
 
A native of Nolensville, Tennessee, Wilken has led the Chargers to its first NCAA tournament berth since the 2019-20 campaign with a team-high 17.5 points per game and 6.5 rebounds per game over 31 games this season.
 
Wilken ranks in the top seven in the league in scoring and rebounding average, while leading the conference in GSC games with 18.2 points per game.
 
She recorded 20 or more points on 10 occasions so far this season in addition to posting a double-double with points and rebounds in three games. Her 36 points scored against Mississippi College on Feb. 8 were the most by any player in the GSC this season.
 
Wilken additionally led the Chargers with 55 steals in 2024-25, ranking fourth overall in the GSC.
 
The Chargers look ahead to opening the 2025 NCAA Division II South Region Women's Basketball Championships against third-seeded Nova Southeastern on Friday at 12 p.m. in Jackson, Tennessee.
