BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its Hall of Fame Class of 2025 on Monday morning, which includes UAH volleyball legend Ellen LaFiore as part of the 11th class inducted by the conference.
 
"The careers and accomplishments of this year's class is nothing short of awe-inducing," said GSC Commissioner Matt Wilson. "Their contributions to their respective institutions and Gulf South Conference are well documented is their inclusion to GSC Hall of Fame is well deserved. Congratulations to this year's members."
 
LaFiore becomes the 10th GSC Hall of Fame honoree for UAH, as she is also the first Charger volleyball student-athlete to earn the prestigious distinction.
 
She was a member of the UAH volleyball program from 1998-2001, earning First Team All-GSC all four seasons including a GSC Player of the Year selection in 1999. LaFiore was twice named a GSC Top Ten honoree in her career and garnered a spot on the GSC All-Decade squad for 2000-09.
 
Moreover, she continues to hold the Chargers career record for kills (2,528), kills per set (4.85), and hitting percentage (.406).
 
LaFiore was previously inducted into the UAH Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2022.
 
This is the conference's 11th Hall of Fame class, as membership, including the new elected class, now stands at 61, since its inception in 2014.
 
The GSC Hall of Fame Class of 2025 also included two administrators—Valdosta State tennis coach John Hansen and West Alabama athletic trainer R.T. Floyd—as well as three student-athletes—West Georgia football's Alex Armah and Montevallo men's soccer's Jonathan Maloney in addition to UAH's LaFiore.
 
The 2025 GSC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 29 as part of the conference's annual award ceremony at the Hilton Pensacola Beach Hotel in Pensacola, Florida.
