BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its 2026 Softball Preseason Poll and Preseason All-GSC teams for the upcoming season, with UAH softball ranking fourth overall.

The Chargers had three individuals earn Preseason All-GSC honors, as Katie Bracken, Megan Shurtz, and Brittany Slaten each found their way onto the preseason watch list.

West Florida topped the preseason poll with six first-place votes and 115 points, followed closely by AUM, which also received six first-place votes and ranked second with 114 points. Mississippi College placed third, followed by UAH in fourth. West Alabama and Valdosta State rounded out the top six. Montevallo, Trevecca Nazarene, Lee, Union, Delta State, and Christian Brothers completed the poll.

The Chargers begin their 2026 campaign on January 30 in Miami Shores, Florida, against Barry.
