BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced their Player of the Week awards for the opening week of the women's lacrosse season on Tuesday and UAH freshman Olivia Rewers was named both the GSC Player of the Week and GSC Freshman of the Week. 

Rewers totaled six points to in the Chargers first win of the season over Anderson. The Brentwood, Tennessee, native put up a team-high five goals and an assist in the 11-10 win. She also had seven draw controls and three ground balls, while posting a .750 shot on goal percentage. This is Rewers' first GSC Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week award of her career.

The Chargers are back in action on February 7th against Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach, Florida at 11:00 a.m. (12 p.m. eastern).
