No. 23 Women's Lacrosse Under Consideration for D-II South Region

HUNTSVILLE | The UAH women's lacrosse team has been listed among the programs under consideration for the South Region in the upcoming NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship.

UAH has compiled a 9-7 overall record and a 4-0 mark in conference play this season while outscoring opponents 202-159 across 16 contests. The Chargers are averaging 12.6 goals per game and have totaled 90 assists. 

Several players have helped drive UAH's success, including Olivia Rewers, who leads the team with 40 goals and 55 points, and Ella Rutherford, who has added 21 goals and 17 assists. The Chargers' defense has recorded163 caused turnovers while holding opponents to 9.94 goals per game.

Teams also mentioned under consideration in the South Region include Tampa, Florida Southern, Embry‑Riddle, Lynn, Saint Leo, Flagler, Lander, and Mount Olive.

Additional regional rankings will be released in the coming weeks before the NCAA announces the official field for the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship following the conclusion of conference tournaments.
