HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The UAH men's lacrosse team will host Virginia State University in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament play-in game on Tuesday afternoon at Charger Park. Faceoff is set for 4 p.m.
The Chargers enter the postseason at 4-13 overall and 1-3 in conference play, with a 2-4 home record and 2-8 mark on the road. Virginia State comes in at 2-10 overall and 0-4 in PBC play, earning the No. 5 seed, while UAH holds the No. 4 seed and home-field advantage for the play-in game.

UAH opened the year with wins over Lees-McRae and Dominican (Calif.) before facing a challenging schedule that included multiple nationally ranked programs. The Chargers remained competitive throughout the season, highlighted by a one-goal loss to Lincoln Memorial and a three-goal contest at Tusculum.
The Chargers are led offensively by Chris Aiello, who has 37 points on 18 goals and 19 assists, and Aydan Weiszhar, who leads the team with 28 goals and 35 points. Jake Bertils (15G, 5A) and Brock Deist (15G) also provide key scoring support, with Deist leading UAH in shooting efficiency at .517.
Defensively, Will Bond anchors the unit with 20 caused turnovers and 32 ground balls, while Griffin Utz adds seven caused turnovers and a consistent presence on defense
The two teams have met once this season, with UAH earning a dominant 24-5 victory this past Sunday, April 19, in Petersburg. The Chargers controlled the contest from the outset, building a 16-2 halftime lead and cruising to the win in the first meeting between the two programs.
Tuesday's matchup will determine who advances to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament semifinals. The winner will travel to face top-seeded University of Montevallo at the final site on Friday, April 24, with the championship game scheduled for Sunday, April 26.
