UAH Honors Seniors in Final Home Game Against Montevallo

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The UAH men's lacrosse team will wrap up its home slate for the 2026 campaign on Saturday at noon, hosting Montevallo at Charger Park in a Peach Belt Conference matchup.

Admission to all regular season events at Les Stuedeman Field is free this season, courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.

Prior to the start of warmups, the program will honor its senior class, which includes Griffin Utz, Zach Rudgunas, Gerrit Robbins, Thomas Dugan, and Matteo Siciliano.

The Chargers enter the contest with a 3-10 overall record and an 0-1 mark in PBC play following a narrow 9-8 loss at Lincoln Memorial last Saturday.

UAH's offense is averaging 8.5 goals per game this season, led by Aydan Weiszhar, who has a team-high 24 goals and 29 points. He is joined in double-digit scoring by Chris Aiello (15 goals) and Jake Bertils (14), helping provide a balanced offensive attack.

Brenden Thomas leads the team with 36 ground balls while serving as UAH's primary faceoff specialist. He has won 92 draws for a 44.4 percent success rate. Bertils has also contributed in the possession game with 21 ground balls and additional work at the faceoff X.

Defensively, Will Bond paces the Chargers with 17 caused turnovers along with 26 ground balls, while Robbins has added nine caused turnovers and 24 ground balls. In goal, Jake Sander has logged the majority of minutes with 96 saves, while Tommy Peer has contributed 68 saves for the Blue & White.

Montevallo enters Saturday's matchup with a 5-7 overall record and a 1-0 mark in conference play after a 22–2 win over Virginia State last weekend. The Falcons average 12.4 goals per game offensively, led by Matthew Boas with 33 goals, while allowing 11.2 goals per game on defense.

Following Saturday's contest, the Chargers will travel to Greenville, Tennessee, for a midweek matchup against Tusculum.
