HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Looking to build upon Thursday's season-opening romp, the UAH men's soccer team will host Lincoln Memorial on Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at Charger Field. The Chargers enter the game at 1-0 while LMU comes to the Rocket City with an 0-1 mark.

The weather could have an impact on the contest as the outter bands of Tropical Storm Lee could be affecting the Tennessee Valley during the game.

Storming out of the starting gates, the Blue and White dominated Talladega 7-0 on Thursday. In that contest, freshman Kyle Simmons stole the headlines as he recorded a hat trick in his collegiate debut by connecting on three of his six shots on goal.

The Chargers peppered the Talladega net with 13 shots that made it on target, and four players joined Simmons in tallying scores - including preseason all-Gulf South Conference selection Jarrod Muggleton.

With the Chargers controlling play through much of the contest, junior keeper Kel Markert only faced three shots, and the transfer  turned them all away to register a clean sheet in his first appearance in the UAH net.

The all-time series between the two programs is tilted 12-6 in favor of Sunday's hosts, but the Railsplitters have taken the last four contests between the two teams. A season ago, LMU took a 1-0 victory as the Chargers were only able to manage two shots on goal.

UAH's last win in the series was a 2-1 decision in 2003.

The Railsplitters – picked to finish third in the South Atlantic Conference – also opened their season on Thursday, falling 6-1 on the road at Young Harris. Mario Pinto notched the lone goal for LMU in the defeat, and preseason all-SAC honoree Michael Watkins was in net for the Railsplitters as he allowed all six goals while also making 12 saves.
