LIVE STATS (Feb. 25 Games Only)

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team begins an eight-game homestand with three games this weekend against the Stillman Tigers. The series begins with a doubleheader of 7-inning games on Saturday, Feb. 25, with first pitch scheduled for noon CST at Charger Park. The series concludes on Sunday with a 9-inning contest at 1 p.m. CST.

UAH (2-10) enters the weekend with hopes of putting an end to a season-long nine game skid after beginning the year with a 2-1 series victory over Montevallo. In the team's last outing, the Chargers dropped a four-game series to No. 28 Harding by a combined six runs, including losing two by walk-off runs.

The Chargers, just 1-7 in one run games this season, have fell victim to walk-off runs in four of its 10 losses on the year.

In the last four games, senior Ty Chancelor has led the team at the plate by hitting .500 (5-of-10) with two doubles and one RBI. On the year, Chancelor is batting .471 with a home run and three RBI while boasting a .765 slugging percentage.

Stillman (1-7) is led by Trent Posey who is hitting .480 on the year with two doubles, scoring five runs and tallying six RBI. Jarius Brown is also hitting over .400 for the Tigers, batting .452 in a team-high 32 at-bats and has driven in eight RBI.

The Tigers lone victory came on the road at Erskine College by a score of 6-5. Stillman is currently on a three-game losing streak after suffering a 12-3 defeat to New Orleans and being swept in a doubleheader against Tampa, 2-6 and 4-10.

UAH holds a slim advantage in the all-time series between the two programs by a 7-5 margin, but has dropped two of the last three contests. Prior to last season, when the series was played at Stillman, the Chargers had won six of seven meetings. UAH carries a record of 3-1 when Stillman visits Huntsville, dropping just the first-ever meeting between the two schools, 8-5, on Feb. 20, 2008.

Live stats will only be available for Saturday's doubleheader.

After this weekend, UAH welcomes Carson-Newman for a midweek doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at noon CST before opening Gulf South Conference play against Delta State on March 3-4 in Huntsville.
