HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – University of Alabama in Huntsville head volleyball coach
Laura Taube announced that outside hitter
Jordon Lambert (Goodyear, Ariz.) will join the UAH team for the 2012 season. Lambert, a team captain and decorated senior, comes to the Lady Chargers from Millennium High School.
Lambert is a 5-10 outside hitter who was named First Team All-Section, Section 1, Division 1 after her 2011 season. In 2010, she helped her team to winning the Millennium Madness Volleyball Tournament, and her team competed in the state playoffs. Lambert also played club volleyball with Arizona Desert Sky, for which her team went to Nationals in 2010.
Off the court, she is on the A/B Honor Roll and volunteers at summer camps teaching young girls the sport of volleyball.
With the addition of Lambert, UAH has added six new players for the 2012 incoming class. The class also includes four freshmen: outside hitter
Haley Snyder (Portage, Ind.), setter
Alexis Deal (Birmingham, Ala.), outside hitter
Olivia Bauman (Killen, Ala.) and defensive specialist
Kennedie Lariscy (Thompson Station, Tenn.), and one junior college transfer: middle hitter
Kristin Wyatt (Eagle Point, Ore.).
