HUGE IMPLICATIONS: To say that this weekend's contests are pivotal would be a significant understatement. With five conference games remaining in the regular season, the Chargers sit in second place in the league among teams that are eligible for the postseason with 15 points (teams are awarded three points for a win and one point for a draw). Sunday's opponent West Florida is a the top of the standings with 22 points, while West Alabama is just behind UAH in third with 13 points.
CONFIDENCE BUILDER: Head coach Matt Watts commented after Hermann Bjornsson scored twice against Delta State last Friday that he felt like the pair of scores would give the Iceland native a boost of confidence moving forward. Bjornsson followed the performance up with a score against Christian Brothers, narrowly missing out on another two-goal performance as he had another attempt go just wide. In just six games, the reigning GSC Player of the Week ranks second on the team with seven points.
DEFENDING THE HOME PITCH: The Chargers own a strong 5-1 mark at Charger Park this season – a return to its 2011 form when the Blue and White was 8-2 at its home pitch. The team is averaging 2.33 goals per game in Huntsville, while strong defensive play has held the opposition just 0.83 goals per contest.

ABOUT WEST ALABAMA: The Tigers come to Huntsville with a record of 7-4-1 on the season with a record of 4-4-1 in the GSC. West Alabama recently lost their third straight road game against Lee on Tuesday by a 3-2 score. Sophomore Thibault Charmey leads the Tigers with seven goals on the season to go along with five assists. Teammates Vitor Gazza and Clay Green are right behind with six goals while Gazza has five assists as well.
ABOUT WEST FLORIDA: The Argos visit Charger Park with an overall record of 8-3-1 and a GSC record of 7-1-1, which tops in the conference. UWF's only loss in conference play came at the hands of Union in a tight 1-0 contest. Felipe Oliveria leads the Argos with six goals and four assists, equaling a total of 16 points. Goalkeeper Frederik Bruhn has started eight games for the Argos this season, compiling a record of 4-3-1 while tallying 29 saves. Steven Hermosa and Stuart McRory have also started at goalie for UWF, with each accounting for two wins.

WEST ALBAMA: UWA has taken the last three matches against UAH, including a 3-2 victory earlier this season. The Tigers scored three unanswered goals to upend the Chargers after freshman
Isleifur Gudmundsson scored two first-half goals.
WEST FLORIDA: The Argos own the series record with a 14-10-3 advantage over the Chargers. Earlier this season, UWF dealt UAH a 4-1 setback in Pensacola. Anthony Benitez would account for the team's lone goal in the 30th minute.
