The Lady Chargers (3-5) took the first set against one of the premier Division II volleyball programs in the country, but could not fend off the Pirates in a best-of-five setting.

UAH never led past the 10-point mark in the second, third or fourth set. The loss also snapped the teams' three-game winning streak.
Game 2: Mary-3 UAH-2 (25-23, 25-15, 26-28, 18-25, 8-15)
In the final game for the Lady Chargers at the 2013 MOC Invitational, the Blue and White won the first two sets, however the University of Mary came back to take the final three sets and the match to send UAH home with a 1-2 record in Mount Olive.
Olivia Bauman paced the Chargers with 18 kills, giving her 18.5 points, while
Kendall Knisley was not far behind with 15 points, 13 of which came from kills.
Rachel Brugman was also in double figures with 12 kills to give the freshman 14 points.
Ashton Baker notched a season-high 46 assists, and the setter from Milton, Fla., also tallied two kills as well.
Mary jumped out to a 21-14 lead in the first set, but then UAH then went on a furious rally, scoring 11 of the last 13 points to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
UAH took the second set in convincing fashion 25-15 as each team went back and forth in the beginning of the set. Up by one at 8-7, the Lady Chargers outscored the Marauders 17-8 to claim the second set and a 2-0 lead.
In the third set, the play went back-and-forth for the majority of the frame. Later down 25-24 and having to score on the following point,
Rachel Brugman came up with a clutch kill from
Ashton Baker to tie the game at 25-25. Thanks to an error on the next possession, UAH was just one point away from the victory, however Mary scored the final three points to take the set.
The third set gave the Marauders momentum heading into the fourth and fifth set, not allowing UAH to get any rhythm going, capturing the final two sets.
The team begins a stretch of conference play in which they will play all nine GSC opponents, starting with trips to Valdosta State (Sep. 20) and West Georgia (Sep. 21).
