Ryan Barnes went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with an RBI to lead the Charger offense, and
Cody Burton finished the day going 2-for-4 with an RBI while
Jud Sherrill contributed with two RBI of his own.
After a Barnes single to center field and a stolen base to advance to second,

In the ensuing inning, UAH reeled off five runs to take a commanding 6-0 lead as

Jud Sherrill walk kept the momentum going and scored Barnes before Handley's walk plated Sanders.
Miles would get on the board in the bottom of the fourth frame before UAH answered with two runs in the top of the fifth inning after Sherrill's sacrifice fly drove in Barnes and Burton's single scored Sanders from third to give the Chargers an 8-1 advantage.
The Bears made things interesting in the final inning by scoring two runs to cut the lead to five 8-3. However, the Chargers sealed the victory with a 5-4-3 double play to end the contest.
UAH will return to the diamond this weekend for a critical three-game series at Charger Park against No. 2 West Florida.
