Wednesday's matchup with the 18th-ranked Montevallo Falcons will be the first ranked team the Chargers have faced this season as UAH finished last season 3-3-1 against ranked opponents.

Junior Ben Hall has been swinging the bat well of late with the second baseman tallying a hit in each of the last four games while going 6-for-15 (.400) in the previous four contests to go along with three RBI.

The starting rotation has done a tremendous job on the mound this season, while the bullpen has been right up there when it comes to consistency pitching 33 innings in 29 innings while allowing only 10 earned runs. Junior reliever Luke Mould is shutting down opposing lineups during the most crucial point of the game with a team-high five saves and leading the way with seven appearances. 

Montevallo is currently 12-6 on the year while taking two of three from Young Harris in its most recent outing and boast a 7-3 record at home.

UAH will need its best pitching performance if the Chargers want to leave Montevallo with a win as the Falcons have scored less than five runs just once this season and are averaging 8.5 runs per game. Will Fulmer is leading the team with a .487 batting average and 36 hits, while teammate Jackson Slaid has registered a team-high eight home runs and 26 RBI.
