- The Chargers are averaging 11.2 runs per game over their last five contests, their highest such average of any five-game stretch this season. They have also scored at least eight runs in five-straight games, another season high mark in 2014.
- UAH is outscoring its opponents in every inning except inning number six. In the other eight innings combined, the Chargers are outscoring their opponents 250-119 with their widest margin coming in the first and second innings. UAH owns a 40-15 advantage in the first and 39-13 in the second.
- Conner McCain has been tearing the cover off the ball, recording two hits in five-straight games while riding a six-game hitting streak. Over that span, McCain has upped his average from .276 to .367, which currently leads the team and ranks him sixth in the GSC.
- Charger Park has certainly been kind to the boys in blue this season, as they boast a 15-5 record and are hitting .331 with an average of 8.1 runs per game. The pitching has also been successful, as the rotation and bullpen own a lowly 2.71 ERA.
About Christian Brothers
- Despite Christian Brothers' 11-25 record, the Bucs have won four of their previous five outings, including a series victory over Union.
- Mac Cooley leads the CBU offense with a .313 batting average from the plate while also leading the team in hits (41), doubles (9) and home runs (1). Michael Spain is leading the pitching staff with a 5-2 record from the mound and a 2.86 ERA.
Series History
This will mark just the seventh, eighth and ninth meeting all-time between the two schools. Prior to the 2012 season, UAH played in the GSC East Division while CBU played in the GSC West Division. At that time, the divisions did not cross over, so until 2012 UAH and CBU never met. Since then, the Chargers and Bucs have played six times with UAH winning all six meetings and owning a perfect 6-0 record. This will also be the first time ever the two have played in Huntsville.
