About the Chargers
- The Chargers will head to Jackson, Tenn., for their final road series of the year against Union boasting an 11-8 record away from Charger Park and an 8-4 road record in conference play.
- When playing against teams with a record under .500, the Chargers have taken care of business this season with a record of 15-2.
- Brandon Lawing has played an integral part in UAH's success this season as the recently named Gulf South Conference Player of the Week is leading the team with a .367 average and a team-high 31 RBI to go along with an impressive slugging percentage of .542 and has gotten on base in 31 of 35 games this season.
- UAH will march out two pitchers this weekend who own a 7-1 record on the mound, and another who is coming off a complete-game shutout.
About Union
- Union is 12-27 this season while currently 5-17 in conference and have dropped six of its last seven contests, including a three-game sweep to West Alabama.
- Zach Wylie leads the offense with a .333 batting average while teammate Jim Martin has a team-high four home runs along with a team-best nine doubles and two triples.
Series History
This will be just the second all-time series meeting between the two programs, with the first meeting coming last season in Union's first year of GSC play (ineligible for postseason). UAH swept the Bulldogs at home in those three games, winning 3-1, 5-2 and 13-3 at Charger Park.
