RECENT ACTION: The Chargers eight-game win streak was snapped in the opening game against Valdosta State by a score of 12-10, but UAH was able to take the second game of the doubleheader by a 13-10 final. The Chargers lost the finale 6-4 to complete the second conference series loss of the season.
 
NON-CONFERENCE CAMPAIGN: UAH is 11-0 in non-conference matchups so far this season, after most recently defeating Miles in three games last week by scores of 22-2, 14-2 and 6-3. The Chargers are 7-0 in non-conference games at Charger Park.
 
GSC STANDINGS: The Blue and White dipped to second in the conference with a 15-6-1 record after the series loss to Valdosta State. No. 24 West Alabama (18-5 GSC) leads the league, followed by UAH, West Georgia (16-8 GSC), West Florida (15-9 GSC) and Valdosta State (13-9 GSC) in the top five in the conference.
 
REGIONAL UPDATE: The Chargers dropped one slot in this week's NCBWA South Region poll as UAH comes in at third with a 26-6-1 overall record. Nova Southeastern (29-6) is in the top spot with six first-place votes, followed by Florida Tech (30-5) in second. Lynn (27-8) and West Alabama (26-8) round out the top five.
 
BIG WEEKS: Senior Colton Simbeck and freshman AJ Walden each had a tremendous week at the plate in series against Miles and Valdosta State, as the pair combined for 28 RBI, eight homers and five doubles. Simbeck batted .590 (13-for-22) while mashing five homers and three doubles, while Walden went .333 (7-for-21) with a team-high 15 RBI.
 
LOOKING AHEAD: After the home midweek contests, UAH jumps back into GSC play with a three-game series in Memphis, Tennessee against Christian Brothers. The series begins with a doubleheader at noon on Saturday, and concludes with a single game at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
 
SERIES HISTORIES: This will be the first time in program history that UAH and LeMoyne Owen will be matched up, while the Blue and White holds an all-time series history record of 30-26 against Montevallo.
 
OPPONENTS PROFILE: LeMoyne Owen enters the week with a 4-17 overall record and 4-6 within the SIAC, while Montevallo owns a record of 18-7 and 10-11 in the Peach Belt Conference after a series loss at Armstrong State. The Falcons bat a collective .294, led by Matthew Haskins at .437 with seven homers and 29 RBI. The Montevallo pitching staff boasts a 5.01 ERA over 303.2 innings pitched.
