Charger Park RECENT ACTION: UAH opened the season against No. 14 Nova Southeastern, with the Sharks taking the initial three games of the series and UAH winning the finale by 10-5.
STARTING STRONG: Junior
Trey Mathis paced the UAH offense with a .643 batting average (9-for-14) during opening weekend, while adding one run, three doubles and two RBI. Mathis is coming off a sophomore campaign in which the Trinity, Alabama , native batted .311 with four homers and 24 RBI.
ON THE BUMP:
Wilson Adams had the most successful start for the Blue and White in the weekend set with Nova Southeastern , working his first career complete game and a posting a career-best nine strikeouts during the 4-2 loss in the nightcap last Friday.
FRESH RELIEF: Freshman
Taylor Clemons provided stellar pitching out of the bullpen this past weekend, as the Huntsville native posted a total of 3.1 scoreless innings of relief with five strikeouts and one hit allowed.
TIGERS PROFILE: Tuskegee has started the 2016 season with a pair of splits with Morehouse and Selma, giving the squad a 2-2 record thus far. The Tigers have batted a collective .333 through four games, with Elgin Woodside leading the way with a .667 batting average, two doubles, two homers and eight RBI.
SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 3-0 all-time against Tuskegee, with the Blue and White winning both games last season by scores of 11-1 and 8-1.
