RECENT ACTION: The Chargers completed their first series sweep of the 2016 season over the weekend with consecutive wins over Tuskegee at Charger Park by scores of 4-1, 30-4 and 10-3. UAH's 30 runs in game one of the doubleheader on Sunday broke the previous single-game run record for the program which was 29 runs set on Feb. 25, 1996 against Kentucky Wesleyan.

OPENING STRONG:
Wilson Adams has strung together two exceptional starting performances to begin the campaign, as the right-hander tossed 6.0 innings with one unearned run allowed, zero hits and seven strikeouts on Saturday. Adams has a 2.08 ERA on the year over 13.0 innings pitched and a team-high 16 strikeouts.

NO RUNS HERE: Freshman
Taylor Clemons has been the most successful arm coming out of the bullpen thus far in 2016, with the Huntsville native holding opponents scoreless over 6.1 innings pitched to begin his career. Most recently, Clemons recorded his first collegiate save following a 3.0-inning performance with one walk and two strikeouts to end the Chargers opening win over the Tigers.

NEWCOMERS SUCCEEDING: The UAH offense has received a boost in the early going from a pair of newcomers to the roster this season in infielders
Tanner Gardner and
Matt Spruill. So far in 2016, Gardner rates third on the roster with a .438 batting average to go along with four runs and four RBI, while Spruill has totaled a .333 average with nine runs, one triple, one homer and five RBI.

GSC PLAY BEGINS: Under the guidance of sixth-year head coach
Hunter Royer, the Chargers have maintained a 74-31-2 record (.701) in Gulf South Conference play since 2012. Last season, UAH finished with a 21-9-1 conference record and were the second seed in the GSC tournament in Livingston, Alabama.

MATCHUP HISTORIES: The Chargers will be facing Spring Hill for the first time in program history, while holding a 3-1-1 overall record against the Flames. UAH won one game and tied the second against Lee last season in Cleveland, Tennessee.
