RECENT ACTION: The Chargers picked up their Gulf South Conference series victory in as many weeks this past weekend at No. 15 West Georgia. UAH is now 11-5 overall this season and 5-1 in the GSC, making the squad one of three teams to start the league slate with a 5-1 mark.

REGIONAL UPDATE: UAH received its highest ranking of the season in the NCBWA South Region poll with a rating of No. 2, with Tampa remaining in the top spot. The Chargers are followed by West Alabama, Delta State and Valdosta State to round out the top five regional rankings.

TOP ROOKIE:
Taylor Clemons earned GSC Freshman of the Week for the first time in his career on Tuesday morning, after hurling 4.0 scoreless innings with two strikeouts as the finishing pitcher in both of the Chargers wins at UWG. The Huntsville native has started his career with a streak of 16.1 innings without allowing an earned run, while striking out a total of 17 batters.

LEADING THE OFFENSE: In last week's games,
AJ Walden had a stellar performance at the plate, batting.444 (8-for-18) in four games against Miles and West Georgia. Walden notched a total of two homers – with both coming in the series-clinching win on Sunday – and two doubles for a slugging percentage of .889 for the week. This season, Walden has a .346 batting average with three doubles, three homers and 15 RBI.

TROJANS PROFILE: Trevecca Nazarene enters the week with a 6-2 record so far this season, following a loss to Quincy and a pair of wins over Wayne State and Walsh this past weekend. The Trojans bat a collective .329, led by Tyler Burns' .556 average with three doubles, one homer and four RBI.

BUCS PROFILE: Christian Brothers begins this week's slate of games with a 4-11 overall record and a mark of 0-6 in GSC play thus far, after being swept by Union by scores of 3-0, 3-2 and 4-2 this past weekend. CBU's offense owns a team batting average of .258, with four players batting above .330 in the lineup, while the pitching staff is led by Jack Parker with a 1-2 record and a rotation-low 2.88 ERA.
