RECENT ACTION: UAH is now on a five-game win streak after winning a midweek matchup over No. 21 Trevecca Nazarene before sweeping Christian Brothers in a three-game GSC series at Charger Park over the weekend. The Chargers outscored their opponents 38-1 in the four-game stretch.
 
REGIONAL UPDATE: The Blue and White came in second in the NCBWA South Region poll for back-to-back weeks, with Tampa (15-1) maintaining its position in the top spot. Following UAH in the top five in the region is West Alabama (15-4), Delta State (11-7) and Florida Tech (13-6).
 
POLLING PLACE: The Chargers are now featured in the national rankings in both the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper polls, coming in at No. 9 in the NCBWA ratings and No. 18 by CBN. UAH is the highest ranked GSC program in the NCBWA and second amongst South Region squads.
 
ALONE AT THE TOP: After winning its third straight league series to start GSC play, UAH is now in first in the conference standings with an 8-1 record followed by West Alabama (7-2 GSC) in second and four programs tied for third with 6-3 marks within the GSC. The Chargers offense is first in the league with 166 runs scored, while the pitching staff's 3.81 ERA ranks sixth amongst GSC teams.
 
LEAGUE'S BEST: After a stellar performance against TNU and CBU, senior Matt Spruill received the nod for GSC Player of the Week following a week in which the Huntsville native batted .813 (13-for-16) with six runs scored, five RBI, one double and one homer.
 
FALCONS PROFILE: Montevallo enters the week with a 12-9 record and a 9-1 mark when playing at home, following a three-game sweep of Francis Marion over the weekend. The Falcons bat a collective .345, led by Taylor Walker with a .529 average with 31 runs, nine doubles, eight homers and 35 RBI.
 
ARGONAUTS PROFILE: West Florida is one of four teams tied for third in the GSC with a 6-3 league record while holding an 11-7 overall mark, after winning a three-game series at North Alabama last weekend. The Argos bat a collective .284, while their pitching staff has a GSC-low 2.84 ERA this season.
