REGIONAL UPDATE: The Blue and White came in second in the NCBWA South Region poll for back-to-back weeks, with Tampa (15-1) maintaining its position in the top spot. Following UAH in the top five in the region is West Alabama (15-4), Delta State (11-7) and Florida Tech (13-6).

POLLING PLACE: The Chargers are now featured in the national rankings in both the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper polls, coming in at No. 9 in the NCBWA ratings and No. 18 by CBN. UAH is the highest ranked GSC program in the NCBWA and second amongst South Region squads.

ALONE AT THE TOP: After winning its third straight league series to start GSC play, UAH is now in first in the conference standings with an 8-1 record followed by West Alabama (7-2 GSC) in second and four programs tied for third with 6-3 marks within the GSC. The Chargers offense is first in the league with 166 runs scored, while the pitching staff's 3.81 ERA ranks sixth amongst GSC teams.

Matt Spruill received the nod for GSC Player of the Week following a week in which the Huntsville native batted .813 (13-for-16) with six runs scored, five RBI, one double and one homer.

FALCONS PROFILE: Montevallo enters the week with a 12-9 record and a 9-1 mark when playing at home, following a three-game sweep of Francis Marion over the weekend. The Falcons bat a collective .345, led by Taylor Walker with a .529 average with 31 runs, nine doubles, eight homers and 35 RBI.
