BLOCK PARTY: Saturday is bound to be a fun day at Charger Park as there will be plenty going on besides the men's lacrosse, baseball, and softball contests. Free inflatables for children will be on the plaza from noon to 5 p.m., and several food trucks will be at Charger Park during the day as well. Additionally, all UAH faculty and staff will be admitted free in appreciation for all that they do for the Chargers.

RECENT ACTION: The Chargers most recently travelled to Valdosta State this past weekend, taking the opener by a score of 3-1 before falling in the final two games of the series by finals of 14-5 and 11-9. UAH is now 25-15 overall and 15-9 in league play, sitting in sixth place in the GSC standings.

STARTING STRONG: Wilson Adams posted his third straight start of at least 7.0 innings pitched, one run allowed and 10 or more strikeouts in the series-opening win at Valdosta State, as the right-hander hurled 7.2 innings with one run allowed and 10 strikeouts. This season, Adams leads the GSC with a 2.12 ERA and 68.0 innings pitched, while rating second in the league and 10th nationally with 75 strikeouts.

SUCCESS IN THE GSC: AJ Walden has had a dominant performance during league play in his sophomore campaign, with the Albertville, Alabama, native leading the GSC with a .456 batting average in 23 conference games. Overall in 2016, Walden leads the Chargers in batting average (.398), hits (53), homers (10), RBI (39), and slugging percentage (.707).

LOOKING AHEAD: UAH will head into the home stretch after the Mississippi College series, with the final road trip of the year to Union next weekend before hosting West Alabama for the last series of the regular season at Charger Park on April 30 and May 1.

CHOCTAWS PROFILE: Mississippi College opens the weekend with a 13-23 overall record and a mark of 5-18 within the GSC slate, after most recently being swept by North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. The Choctaws offense is led by Hunter Bolin (.383 BA, 23 runs) and Logan Ferrel (.343 BA, 15 RBI), while the MC pitching staff owns a 5.23 ERA over 36 games this season.

MATCHUP HISTORY: UAH is 3-0 all-time against Mississippi College, with the Chargers taking two games from the Choctaws last season by scores of 15-9 and 9-6.
