Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team slipped in the Gulf South Conference series finale at Union on Sunday by a score of 9-2. UAH falls to 30-16 (20-10 GSC), while UU improves to 19-24 (11-18 GSC).

Following scoreless frames for both sides in the first and second innings, Union was able to jump on the board in the bottom of the third with a five-run rally prior to extending its lead to 7-0 with another two runs in the fourth.

The Chargers chipped into the Bulldogs lead with one run in the fifth on a solo home run by
Zach Dugas, which was his second homer of the season.

Union went on to add a pair of runs in the seventh to increase its advantage to eight runs, with UAH slimming the lead in the top of the ninth with one run to bring the game to its 9-2 final.

Heath McRae took the loss to slip his season record to 6-3, after hurling 3.1 innings with five earned runs allowed, seven hits and three strikeouts.

Dugas led the way for the Chargers at the plate with a 2-for-4 performance with one run scored and one RBI.

The Blue and White will wrap up the regular season next weekend at Charger Park with a visit from West Alabama for a three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday at 2 p.m. and a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
