Kirsten Giles has enjoyed a strong overall campaign thus far in 2016, with the junior rating second in the league with both 10.22 assists per set and a .357 hitting percentage while ranking second on the roster with 3.34 digs per set. Giles has also recorded a double-double with digs and assists in seven of the Chargers' nine matches.

DEFENSIVE POSTURE: The UAH defense has seen a notable improvement early into the 2016 season, as the squad is averaging 15.84 digs per set and 2.44 blocks per set which is above the 2015 numbers of 15.38 digs per frame and 1.71 blocks per set. FRESHMAN RISING: First-year head coach
Dr. Cade Smith has received consistent production out of Birmingham, Alabama, native
Caroline Sanford in her freshman season, as she currently ranks third in the GSC with 1.14 blocks per set and is fourth on the roster with 63 kills. Sanford is averaging 3.0 total blocks per match and 7.67 kills per match in the past three contests.

LOOKING AHEAD: After this weekend's matches, the Chargers look ahead to a rivalry matchup in Florence, Alabama, against North Alabama next Thursday at 7 p.m. UAH will then return to the Rocket City for a pair of matches on Friday at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

BUCS PROFILE: Christian Brothers enters the weekend with a 7-2 overall record and a 3-1 mark within the conference, and the Bucs are currently riding a three-match win streak with victories over Union, Mississippi College and Lee in the past week.
