RECENT ACTION: After dropping the opening game of the three-game nonconference tilt against Spring Hill by an 8-5 score, UAH charged back to win the final two games by scores of 6-5 and 10-2 for the series win. The Chargers are now 2-5 overall entering the Gulf South Conference slate.

2016 IN THE GSC: The Blue & White finished fifth overall in the league standings with a 21-12 record in GSC games, winning a total of seven conference series during the regular season. Over the past three years, UAH has registered a 64-28-1 record within the GSC.

JUNIOR RISING: Ben Rhodes has enjoyed a strong start to his third year with the Chargers, as he's ranked in the top 20 in the GSC in batting average (.429), slugging percentage (.762) and on-base percentage (.556). Rhodes enters the week on a six-game hit streak, having recorded two hits in three of those contests to start the season.

STEADY OUTINGS: The Chargers pitching staff has been paced so far this season by
Riley Camp with a rotation-leading 2.31 ERA over 11.2 innings pitched while
Gabe Gunter has not allowed a run in 10.0 innings to start his senior campaign. Both Camp and Gunter are tied with a team-high 11 strikeouts as well.

PROVIDING A SPARK: Zach Duvall – a native of Madison, Alabama – posted the strongest performance of his freshman season during the series finale against SHC as he went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, three RBI, two doubles and a walk. Duvall has twice recorded a multi-hit game in four starts so far in 2017.

FLAMES PROFILE: Lee begins the weekend with a 7-1 overall record in the 2017 season after most recently extending its win streak to six consecutive games with an 8-5 win over Lincoln Memorial. The Flames offense has been led by Geremy Walton in the early going with a .500 batting average, three homers and eight RBI, while the Lee pitching staff boasts a team ERA of 2.91.
