SCHEDULE UPDATE: UAH and Auburn Montgomery have agreed to move up Wednesday's start time to 3 p.m. from 5 p.m.

UPCOMING WEEK: The Chargers host a total of four games this week at the tail end of a seven-game home stand as Auburn Montgomery visits for a nonconference matchup on Wednesday at 3 p.m., prior to hosting Shorter for a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday. First pitch for the series-opening doubleheader is slated for 2 p.m., while Sunday's finale has a 1 p.m. first pitch.
 
RECENT ACTION: UAH fell in all three contests in its three-game series this past weekend against Delta State by scores of 13-8, 11-4, and 6-3. The Chargers now hold a 10-15 overall record and a 6-9 mark in GSC play entering the week's slate.
 
POTENT WEEKEND: Justin Ware – a native of Semmes, Alabama – led the UAH offense with a .600 batting average (6-for-10) in this past weekend's series, while totaling a team-high two extra-base hits, four RBI and a .667 on-base percentage. This season, Ware owns a team-best eight doubles and 22 runs scored as the squad's primary leadoff hitter.
 
ON THE HILL: Will Myers remains atop the UAH weekend rotation with a 3.82 ERA over a team-high 35.1 innings pitched in seven starts, after most recently 5.0 innings with two runs allowed and four strikeouts in the series finale against DSU. In GSC games, Myers ranks 12th in the league with a 2.83 ERA in addition to rating fourth in the conference with 29 strikeouts in league games.
 
PACING THE OFFENSE: Entering the week, Ben Rhodes leads all UAH regulars with a .326 batting average in addition to a team-high 19 RBI to go along with 19 runs scored, six doubles and two homers in his junior season. Rhodes' 19 RBI currently rank tied for 14th overall in the GSC.
 
LOOKING AHEAD: The Chargers hit the road after this week's slate as the squad turns around to travel to Auburn Montgomery next Wednesday before heading to rival North Alabama for a three-game GSC series next Saturday and Sunday.
 
NIGHT HAWKS PROFILE: Auburn Montgomery enters the week with a 10-13 overall record after a pair of wins and a loss at Thomas University over the weekend. The Night Hawks offense is paced by Donovan Chandler (.293 BA) and Tanner Russell (15 RBI), while the AUM pitching staff owns a 6.04 ERA pitching staff. UAH is 9-3 all-time against Auburn Montgomery.
 
HAWKS PROFILE: Shorter begins the week with a 15-10 overall record and a 6-9 record within the Gulf South Conference, after a series loss at Lee this past weekend. The Hawks offense is paced by Bailey Gerstner (.421 BA) and Jack Leech (26 RBI), while the SU pitching staff boasts a total of four players with ERAs below 3.00. The Chargers own a 9-3 all-time record against the Hawks.
