RECENT ACTION: UAH now sits at 8-10 overall and 4-5 playing within the Gulf South Conference, after dropping both games in the doubleheader by scores of 10-6 and 9-6 to open the series against Christian Brothers before taking the finale by a 6-4 final.

UPCOMING WEEK: The Chargers will head to Montevallo (10-9) to open the week's slate on Wednesday with a nonconference tilt before heading south to West Florida (9-8, 5-4 GSC) for a three-game GSC series.

MAKEUP DATE ANNOUNCED: Due to inclement weather last week, UAH has announced a makeup date for its originally-scheduled March 1 matchup at Auburn Montgomery as the squads will now meet on March 29 at 5 p.m. for a nonconference game.

FREE PASSES LIMITED: The Chargers pitching staff paces the Gulf South Conference with just 50 walks issued this season, as no single pitcher has allowed more than 10 walks entering the week. UAH has limited opponents to just two walks or less in a game on nine occasions so far this season.

HONING POWER: With two home runs in his first two at-bats on Saturday at CBU, AJ Walden is the first Charger this season to post a multi-homer game and he now has a total four multi-homer performances in his career. Walden enters the week ranked third amongst UAH regulars with a .306 batting average while leading the offense with four homers and rating second on the squad with 12 RBI.

FALCONS PROFILE: Montevallo enters the week with a 10-9 overall record and a 1-2 mark within the Peach Belt Conference, after most recently winning one out of three games against Auburn Montgomery this past weekend. Matthew Furuto leads the Falcons offense with a .416 average, seven homers and 35 RBI, while the UM pitching staff boasts a team ERA of 5.36.

MATCHUP HISTORY: UAH holds an all-time record of 33-26 against Montevallo, with the Chargers winning the 2016 season series over the Falcons with victories at Montevallo (March 9) and at home (April 6) during the campaign.

ARGOS PROFILE: West Florida – who was picked to win the GSC in the preseason coaches' poll – begins the week's slate with an overall record of 9-8 and a 5-4 record in league play, following a series loss at home to North Alabama last weekend. The Argos offense has been paced by Justin Ambrosino with a team-high .386 batting average, five homers and 26 RBI, while Jackson Smith (17.1 IP, 3.63 ERA) and JT Granat (26.1 IP, 3.76 ERA) lead the weekend rotation.

MATCHUP HISTORY: The Chargers own an all-time record 44-34 against the Argonauts after West Florida won two-of-three against UAH in Huntsville last season.
