UPCOMING WEEK: The Chargers begin a five-game slate this week beginning with a nonconference doubleheader on Tuesday at Charger Park at 2 p.m. against Miles (17-15, 9-3 SIAC) before the squad takes off to Mississippi College (15-20, 11-12 GSC) for a three-game Gulf South Conference series on Friday and Saturday in Clinton, Mississippi.

RECENT ACTION: UAH dropped the GSC series at home against Valdosta State this past weekend, as the Blazers won series opener and finale by scores of 9-1 and 25-11 with the Chargers taking the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader 3-0. The Chargers now sit at 16-20 overall and 11-13 within the GSC.

SOUTHPAW DEALING: A week removed from establishing the program record with 15 strikeouts at UNA on April 1,
Will Myers tossed the third no-hitter in program history in the 3-0 win in the nightcap of the doubleheader against VSU this past weekend. The Philadelphia, Mississippi, native has been stellar during the GSC slate, as he's leading the conference with a .154 batting average against while rating fourth with a 2.63 ERA and second with 57 strikeouts in league contests.

FINDING A GROOVE: Ben Rhodes broke out of a slump with a strong weekend in the series against Valdosta State, as the junior led the squad with a .455 batting average (5-for-11), two homers, five RBI, 13 total bases, a 1.182 slugging percentage and a .455 on-base percentage. Rhodes – who now has a career-high six homers in 2017 – has been one of the Chargers most consistent offensive performers this season, pacing the squad in RBI (33), total bases (67), slugging percentage (.536), walks (19) and on-base percentage (.422).

GOLDEN BEARS PROFILE: Miles enters the week with 17-15 overall record and a 9-3 mark within the SIAC, after most recently winning two-of-three this past weekend over Kentucky State. The Golden Bears offense is led by Xavier Burden with a .414 batting average and 26 RBI, while the MC pitching staff owns a7.54 team ERA.
