UPCOMING WEEKEND: UAH (20-21, 13-14 GSC) is set for its final home Gulf South Conference series of the regular season as Union (27-15, 15-11 GSC) visits Charger Park on Sunday at 1 p.m. and Monday at noon for a three-game series, which was originally scheduled for Saturday-Sunday before anticipated heavy rains caused the shift.

RECENT ACTION: The Chargers are coming off their fourth GSC series win with a pair of victories by scores of 18-7 and 13-7 and a 3-0 loss this past weekend at Mississippi College, giving the Blue & White a 20-21 overall record and a 13-14 mark in league contests. UAH enters the second-to-last weekend of conference play with a seventh-place standing in the GSC.

CAREER SEASON: Ben Rhodes has grown to be one of the most potent members of the UAH lineup in his junior season, as he's sporting career-highs and ranks in the top 15 in the GSC homers (8), RBI (40), slugging percentage (.569) and walks (24). Rhodes has also belted three grand slams this season, becoming the first player in the GSC to record three grand slams in a season since Devin Goodwin of Delta State in 2008.

RUNNING FREE: The Chargers have stolen at least one base in seven straight games dating back to April 8's nightcap against Valdosta State, reaching the high-water mark of six stolen bases in the first game of a doubleheader against Miles on April 11. UAH is led on the base paths by
Justin Ware who is a perfect 13-for-13 in stolen base attempts this season in addition to pacing the squad with 12 doubles and 40 runs scored.

LIVELY BATS: UAH has posted 10 or more hits in five of the past six games, giving the squad 17 such performances in the 2017 campaign. Entering this weekend, UAH boasts six regulars in the lineup with batting averages above .300 paced by
Nolan Ramsey with a .365 average to rate seventh in the GSC.

LOOKING AHEAD: After this weekend's series with Union, UAH looks ahead to the final games of the 2017 regular season with a trip to Livingston, Alabama, to take on West Alabama in a three-game series on April 29-30. The GSC tournament will follow the series at UWA on May 6-9 in a new pool play format with the top eight teams playing at the GSC Regular Season Champion's campus.

BULLDOGS PROFILE: Union begins this weekend's three-game set with a 27-15 overall record and a 15-11 mark within the GSC to own a fourth-place standing in the conference after most recently being swept by North Alabama on April 14-15 before a 5-4 nonconference win over Henderson State on Tuesday. The Bulldogs offense is led by Nolen Milton with a .350 batting average, 12 homers and 42 RBI, while the UU pitching staff is led by starters JR Miller (3.30 ERA/62.2 IP) and Teddy Christie (3.62 ERA/59.2 IP).

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 11-1 all-time against the Bulldogs, as UAH took two out of three games last season in Jackson, Tennessee, on April 23-24.
