UPCOMING WEEKEND: The Chargers begin a five-game homestand with a three-game Gulf South Conference series against Valdosta State this weekend at Charger Park as the Blazers visit on Saturday at 2 p.m. for a doubleheader before wrapping up the series on Sunday with a 1 p.m. first pitch.

RECENT ACTION: UAH dropped the GSC series at rival North Alabama over the weekend falling in a pair of game by scores of 12-2 and 8-7 despite earning the 4-2 win in the nightcap in the doubleheader this past Saturday. The Chargers now sit at 15-18 overall and 10-11 in the GSC, holding an eighth place standing in the league.

STELLAR SOUTHPAW: Will Myers posted a program-record 15 strikeouts in the 4-2 victory on Saturday at North Alabama, which gives the senior left-hander a team-high 60 strikeouts in 47.2 innings pitched this season. Myers enters the week tied for first in conference play with 51 strikeouts and 11thwith a 3.07 ERA in GSC games.

ON THE OFFENSE: UAH begins the week with a team batting average of .293, as five different regulars in the Chargers lineup are batting above .300.
Nolan Ramsey, a New Market, Alabama, native, has seen his average rise to a team-high .358 after entering the Delta State series on March 18-19 with a .310 average. Ramsey has posted five multi-hit games in his past eight appearances, raising the sophomore to rank 11th in the GSC with his .358 batting average.

LOOKING AHEAD: After UAH's series with Valdosta State this upcoming weekend, the Chargers will wrap up the homestand with a doubleheader against Miles on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

BLAZERS PROFILE: Valdosta State owns a 22-13 overall record and an 11-10 mark within the Gulf South Conference after most recently being swept by Mississippi College at home by scores of 6-0, 6-3 and 10-0. The Blazers offense is paced by Luke Suchon (.392/14 RBI) and Dalton Murray (.392/3 HR/27 RBI), while Hunter Jones (2.13 ERA/50.2 IP) and Austin Hamilton (2.91 ERA/58.2 IP).
