UPCOMING WEEK: UAH starts a nine-game homestand with a total of six games at Charger Park this week beginning with nonconference midweek matchups against Tuskegee (6-22, 2-6 SIAC) at 1 p.m. on Tuesday and LeMoyne Owen (1-15, 0-7 SIAC) at 1 p.m. Wednesday in a doubleheader, prior to West Alabama (12-19, 6-11 GSC) visiting for a Gulf South Conference series on Friday and Saturday.
 
RECENT ACTION: The Chargers travelled to Rome, Georgia, over the weekend for a three-game series at Shorter, with the squad winning the opener 16-2 before dropping the final two games by scores of 4-1 and 6-4. UAH is now 17-15 overall this season and 9-9 in GSC play, good for seventh in the league standings.
 
APPROACHING HISTORY: AJ Walden boasted a dominant five games at the plate this past week, as the senior had a .476 batting average (10-for-21) with a team-high eight runs, five doubles, two homer and eight RBI. With nine home runs this season, Walden now has 46 round-trippers, tying the program record of 46 homers set by Blake Bone (1998-2000).
 
FRESHMAN GROOVING: Dylan Murphy made one appearance out of the bullpen this past weekend at Shorter with a 2.0 scoreless inning performance with a season-high five strikeouts while not allowing a hit. This season, Murphy is tied for the league lead in saves with six to go along with a bullpen-best 1.50 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 18.0 innings.
 
LEADING BATS: The Chargers boast three players in the top five in batting average in the GSC, including Brady Bedingfield in second at .405 followed by Ben Rhodes and Walden in a two-way tie for fourth with .388 batting averages.
 
GOLDEN TIGERS PROFILE: Tuskegee starts the week's slate with a 6-22 overall record after most recently being swept by Miles over the weekend. TU's offense is led by Matthew Reed with a .258 batting average and eight RBI, while the Tigers pitching staff has a 8.18 ERA.
 
SERIES HISTORY: UAH holds an all-time series record of 7-0 against Tuskegee.
 
MAGICIANS PROFILE: LeMoyne-Owen enters Wednesday's doubleheader with a 1-15 overall record.
 
SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 4-0 all-time against LOC.
 
TIGERS PROFILE: West Alabama begins the week with a 12-19 overall record and a 6-11 mark in GSC play, after most recently falling in two-of-three at North Alabama last weekend. The Tigers offense is paced by Joel Murphy with a team-high .312 batting average with six doubles and 19 RBI, while JT Salter leads the weekend rotation with 53.0 innings pitched and a 3.06 ERA.
 
SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 40-31 all-time against the Tigers.
