BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference unveiled its weekly women's lacrosse award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team was represented by
Nicole Federovitch as GSC Offensive Player of the Week and
Natalie Pachinger as GSC Defensive Player of the Week.
Â
Both Federovitch and Pachinger earned their second weekly honor of the season in back-to-back weeks, as Federovitch collects her sixth career GSC Offensive Player of the Week selection and Pachinger records her eight career GSC weekly honor.
Â
A native of Barnegat, New Jersey, Federovitch led the Chargers offense to a 17-3 victory over Shorter to open GSC play this past Wednesday with a total of nine points on eight goals and one assist against the Hawks. She now leads the GSC with 23 points on 18 goals and five assists in the 2019 campaign.
Â
Pachinger was a key member of the Chargers defense in the 17-3 win, ranking second on the roster with three draw controls and one draw controls as UAH limited the Hawks to just five shots on goal in the victory. The Chargers three goals against are the fewest goals scored against the squad since a 20-3 win over Keiser on March 20, 2017.
