HUNTSVILLE | The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its men's lacrosse postseason awards on Friday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville had two players earn All-GLVC status while the team took home the league's sportsmanship award.
Â
Colton Nall became the program's first-ever First Team All-GLVC choice,
Luke LeVette was named Second Team All-GLVC for a second straight year, and the Chargers tied with Shorter for the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award.
Â
Nall was a Second Team selection a year ago, and he finished his UAH career with 190 ground balls including 55 this season, allowing him to rank fourth in the league with 4.58 per game. The Birmingham, Alabama, native also scored three times and added three assists on the year.
Â
LeVette once again had a terrific offensive campaign, scoring 29 goals and adding an assist to total 30 points, and he ranked sixth in the GLVC in goals per game. The junior now has totaled 94 goals in his three seasons in the Blue and White.
Â
UAH and Shorter both took home the team sportsmanship award, and the league also presented the seven nominees for the individual James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award including UAH's
Tiernan Hart. The student-athletes chosen are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship out of the sports competition setting.Â
