HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's cross country team finished fourth overall as a team at the 2020 Gulf South Conference Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning at John Hunt Park.

The Chargers had a pair of All-GSC honorees as
Kaylee Stewart garnered First Team and
Taylor Engram earned Second Team.

Lee won the GSC Championships with 32 team points, followed by Mississippi College in second, Montevallo in third and UAH in fourth.

UAH was paced on Saturday by Stewart – a Madison, Alabama, native – in third place overall with a time of 17:52.28, which was the fastest time by a Charger at the GSC Championships in program history.

Engram followed Stewart in 15th with a time of 18:46.82, which preceded freshman
Emily McMurry in 21st overall at 19:10.67.

The Chargers also added two more runners in the top 30, including
Marlee Mason in 24th at 19:17.76 and
Tatiana Padgett in 26th at 19:34.16.

UAH's competing roster on Saturday also featured
Caroline Ursprung (39th, 20:18.46),
Paige Wohlgemuth (43rd, 20:24.25),
Bobby Lewis (50th, 20:39.78),
Samantha Byron (51st, 20:39.86), and
Claudia Dassow (53rd, 20:41.48).
